The All-New Renault Kangoo Bags the Small Van of the Year Award at the What Car? Van and Commerical Vehicle Awards 2023

The All-New Renault Kangoo has been given the Small Van of the Year award at the What Car? Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards 2023. The Renault Kangoo was awarded because of its affordable price, unique storage solutions and its option of electric power with the Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric variant. The award is not the first for the new commercial vehicle in the Renault LCV range, as it was previously named International Van of the Year 2022 and won the What Van? Compact Van of the Year award 2022.

The All-New Kangoo bolsters a new, modern design, 20 advanced driver assistance systems, and comes with a choice of petrol, diesel, or E-Tech 100% electric powertrains. The short and long wheelbase versions mean the All-New Kangoo can suit a range of different requirements. Perfect for any business. It is wider than previous versions which affords more space for occupants as well as the cargo area.

Unique storage solutions are one of the big revelations adorning the All-New Renault Kangoo and its these innovations that played a large part in the van winning the What Car? Small Van of the Year award. Among these new innovations is the Renault Kangoo’s Easy Inside Rack, which allows you to store long items (such as ladders) along the roof of the van, making it incredibly versatile for commercial use.

The trim levels are ‘Start’ and ‘Advance’. The standard specification on the Start trim includes DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a 3.5-inch TFT driver display, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, electric front windows, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and air conditioning.​

Customers of the E-Tech 100% electric version will benefit from a driving range of up to 186 miles (WLTP), a load volume of up to 4.2m³ and a maximum 615kg payload. The Renault Kangoo E-Tech can be fully recharged by a typical 7.4 kW wallbox in approximately seven hours, while rapid DC charging at up to 75 kW can deliver an 80 per cent charge in as little as 43 minutes. The All-New Renault Kangoo E-Tech comes with 22kw 80DC charging as standard.

In its previous form, the Renault Kangoo made its name as a class-leading small van. It was a highly capable, economical small van, and the All-New Renault Kangoo has certainly been redesigned as one that’s even better than before.
